PPS
A brainchild of eight dentists, PPS was founded as the Professional Provident Society of South Africa on 8 July 1941, during the height of the second World War.
This group of pioneers was aware that professional person’s assets are his knowledge and skills, which he must be able to employ to the fullest extent to earn a living. The unfortunate experiences of some of their colleagues on active duty motivated them to see a better system of financial protection against the serious consequences arising from the inability to practice because of sickness or injury.

In 2001 PPS was transformed into the PPS Group, consisting of PPS Limited (Limited by Guarantee) and PPS Insurance Company Limited. Since then, both the membership of the society and its service offerings have grown considerably. Today PPS looks after the health, wealth and security of over 200,000 members, by providing a range of world-class financial products and services that are specifically designed for professionals.
From very small beginnings, PPS has grown into a large and progressive organization, providing services that have contributed greatly to health, wealth and security of the professional group services.
