Why work at Standard Bank?
Apart from my passion for finance and investments, I chose Standard Bank because I believe in associating myself with a winning team/ organisation which I can relate back to my own values and beliefs.

How do you feel the programme has helped you become a better individual? A strong emphasis is placed on developing yourself and thinking about who you are and where you want to go. There are also interactive workshops, excursions and a lot of interaction with fellow students. The programme also taught me about corporate social responsibility and how to care for the community.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years time: I would like to be at least in a managerial position, and have completed a professional qualification. In whatever department I am, I will work hard to succeed. (FirstStep.me notes solid ambition!)

Best moments:

CSR projects (zoo visit etc.) and the challenge weekend!

Funny moments:

Everyone getting lost the first couple of days in the bank and of course you could spot the interns a mile away because we were like vultures at the free coffee machines! (FirstStep.me says no arguments we like coffee too!)

Book: 7 habits of highly effective people (Stephen Covey)

Advice to the youth of the world:

Life is all about attitude, do your best in everything you do, and choose to be excellent!
