The Christina Martin School of Food & Wine has gained international recognition for its renowned one year intensive chef and patisserie diploma courses. Now situated on the grounds of the prestigious International Hotel School which is located in Westville, Durban, the school offers accommodation to new and existing students. With its award winning charm and internationally recognised qualifications, the school offers students a solid culinary grounding in the field of Professional Cookery. Course Information: -There is one intake per year (January) and placements are limited to just 50 students per year. -The course allows for equal practical training and academic lecture load. Practical training takes place in state-of-the-art kitchens and restaurants located on site. -Students are taught by industry professionals from both South Africa and abroad. -Students follow the City and Guilds of London Certificate and Diploma in Food Preparation and Culinary Arts. -Students who pass their exams are also awarded the Christina Martin School of Food and Wine Diploma in Culinary Arts and Patisserie. -Graduating students qualify as Chefs de Partie and are guaranteed a job placement -Only learners with a valid Matric certificate may apply.
