The Plettenberg Equestrian Academy (PEA) is based on Fijnbosch Nooitgedacht Stud, which is situated in the beautiful Harkerville forests of Plettenberg Bay. Student numbers are kept down so that each student will benefit from more individual attention.

Students ride, groom and handle the Nooitgedacht Horses on the stud farm doing plenty of flat work, jumping and trail rides. In addition students are taught to lunge, show in hand, long rein and work with young horses. They will also be taught to turn horses out for shows to an international level and will participate in shows during the course. Students will also learn about all day-to-day duties of running a stud farm, foals, stallion coverings, neo natal foal care etc. From a theory point of view, students will participate in lessons on subjects relative to modules 1,2 and 3 of the SANEF curriculum.

At the PEA, our students receive all-round equine education, both practical and theoretical, that allows them to work in any type of horse yard. We base our emphasis on producing students who are knowledgeable, reliable and confident to work within the horse industry.
